Horizon. Horiz(rise)on. Her eyes, son.

Just over a month ago - or, a long long time ago in a galaxy far away - Itamar and I spent a few days in Miami Beach.

One morning I woke up early and snuck off to watch day break over the ocean.

It happened there was a blanket of dark, grey cloud on the horizon line. It was so thick that when the sun began rose, you could look right at it; a distinct shape, perfectly easy on the eyes.

I know, I know. Pics or it didn't happen. Had my camera. LOOK. Little orange half-circle. Behemoth life-giving orb of burning gas. I could look right at it.

Love. I always think of sunrise and sunset as watching the earth turn. Witnessing sunrise is so much more rare in my life, which is probably why it seems so special. What a beautiful circumstance, just the right amount of cloud cover.

I love the shape and edge of the clouds too... it looks like someone is laying down on her back....
